Idukki Diocese's Story
A Symphony of Faith, Nature and Community
Established in 1982, we emerged as an independent diocese, a testament to our unwavering commitment to Orthodox Christianity. Our formation marked a pivotal moment in our history, as we were formed from the Kottayam Diocese, and our journey towards nurturing Orthodox faith began.
Guided by devoted Metropolitans and Clergy, we are a community that proudly upholds the Orthodox tradition. Our heritage isn’t just a relic of the past; it’s a vibrant expression of our enduring faith and devotion.
